Founder Amy Hall is an art historian and ocean lover who was able to combine both her passions in Goldilocks Wraps. After volunteering with a shark conservation program in the South Pacific she was devastated by the ocean plastics problem globally. This compelled Amy to start her journey towards zero waste which, in turn, inspired her to start her ever growing business.

Each reusable beeswax wrap is made individually by hand in small batches. From the washing and cutting of the cotton, to waxing piece by piece, to folding and packaging, we do it all ourselves. Each wrap is held to the highest of quality standards and infused with an extra dose of love.

The average person uses over 2000 square feet of plastic every year, and while our main goal is to help reduce this to zero, one of the added bonuses of our wraps is that they will actually keep your food fresh for longer! (Yes, you heard that right!). They’re better for the environment, and better for your wallet by saving food: It’s a win-win.

Many people think the name is a reflection of the founder Amy's long blonde hair, but there's more to it than superficial appearances.

Not too hot, not too cold, just right. Not only does this apply to the care of our wraps, but a belief that lasting change stems from a balanced lifestyle. People are often overwhelmed when starting out their zero waste journey and choose to do nothing as a result. The key is to make small changes that can be maintained long term and to add in new habits over time. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Scientists also refer to the location of planet earth as the Goldilocks Zone, the perfect balance to foster life. Let's keep this planet beautiful together.

Our wraps are made with 100% cotton. We purchase from Timeless Treasures, a company based out of New York and the fabric is manufactured in South Korea.

Our manufacture for the dishcloths is Swedish Company Teko Tryck. All manufacturing details can be found on their website.

We source all our beeswax locally. This is very important to us to work with Beekeepers we know and trust in their ethical practices. We want to ensure we are helping the bee population not hurting! Click here to learn more about our local honey bee farmers.

Our wraps are all made in house in Victoria, BC by hand! We have a team of 11 and all staff are paid at least a dollar above minimum wage, with full health benefits paid by Goldilocks.

We team up with artists to design our prints for the wraps and a percentage of sales goes back to the artist.

1% of our sales from the pollinator print goes to Pollinator Partnership.

A donation of sales has been made to Sea Smart School helping two girls attend Marine Biologist in Training Camp (Species of Ucluelet print)!

Our largest initiative to date has been Last year eight local companies banded together to raise $15,000 which paid for the purchase and installation of two sea bins in the North Saanich Marina.

We are donating our profits again this year from our 2020 Blue Friday initiative.
